Rice Lane

This property stood out to our client due to the sheer size and attractive location; previously being a mixed-use property sat on large a corner plot, it was clear to see it had amazing potential to be developed into multiple units.  The client wanted to take our advice on the best way forward with the property; so, our design team spent time and careful consideration looking at different configurations which would make best use of the space, and finally it was decided that the property would be converted in to 7 self-contained flats and ground floor retail unit.  One of the flats is situated on the ground floor and we made sure this was designed with disabled access in mind; we make sure we take this approach with all our conversions.

This was a big project – the property needed to be stripped back completely with a whole new layout created, and once planning permission was approved the building team got to work on our design.  The project is managed very closely; so much effort has gone into this building that we want to ensure every last detail is perfect.  Each flat will have a good size living space, along with double bedrooms and luxury kitchen and bathroom fittings.  It was our intention to make each unit feel homely and comfortable, but at the same time having that unique edge with opulence.  Completion of the works are due in early 2021 – another project that will have pride of place in our portfolio!

St. Marys Road

St. Marys Road was an interesting project for us to take on – this was a three-storey property comprising a ground floor retail unit together with 7 self-contained flats to the rear and upper floors.  It was in a complete shell condition and needed full renovation.  The property had a danger notice in place from Liverpool City Council; this is where repair works are needed to prevent significant deterioration, or to remove danger to the people around it, so not only did we handle every repair that was required, but we were also able to completely transform the layout to improve the living space.

The ground floor commercial unit was being kept in place as it was, so we were able to focus on using our residential design skills to bring this property back to life.  The busy and accessible location of St. Marys Road will bring young people, students and professionals so we wanted to give the flats a vibrant homely feel, whilst keeping them in line with our signature style.  Works are still underway, and we hope to see this project completed early 2021!
